Vacuum heat treatment
Hardening and tempering of tool steels and dies, and solution treatment and ageing of nickel superalloys, with a nitrogen gas quench.
From hardening sensitive dies in vacuum to carburizing gears in controlled-atmosphere furnaces, we heat treat steels, cast irons and non-ferrous alloys for the automotive, oil, construction, steel and special industries.
A metallurgy laboratory, shot blasting and technical consulting complete our services.

Hardening and tempering of tool steels and dies, and solution treatment and ageing of nickel superalloys, with a nitrogen gas quench.

Gas carburizing, hardening, normalizing and annealing of parts such as gears and shafts, on our Aichelin and Wellman lines.

Cooling hardened parts below zero to transform retained austenite into martensite and stabilize their dimensions.

Hardness testing, metallography and case-depth measurement, both to check our own work and as a stand-alone service.
See the furnace and machine specifications on our facilities page.
We use shot blasting for two purposes: removing oxide layers and scale to clean parts such as ball pins and other forgings and castings, and introducing compressive stress at the surface of the part.
We have two machines: a tumble shot-blast machine and a rotary-table shot-blast machine.

Choosing the right material and process before production lowers manufacturing costs and avoids rework. Draw on our specialists' experience to choose the right material and manufacturing processes before you make the part.
We see metallurgical advice as part of our service, and we work with our customers from the start.
We also supply German tool steels and copper alloys, including aluminium bronze, so the steel and the heat treatment for a part can come from one place.
Tell our specialists the material, size and hardness your part needs, and we will recommend the right process.
